"INSPIRE THEM YOUNG" INITIATIVE FOR YOUNG FEMALE LEADERS

The importance of female presence within leadership environments cannot be exaggerated. As the majority of industries are currently being disrupted, companies and institutions are more than ever in need of diversity of thought – and thus more female leaders across all leadership levels.

In 2017, the GLSA partner Albright Life Sciences© launched the “Inspire Them Young” initiative with the mission to contribute to the development of the next generation of outstanding female Life Science leaders.

THE AMBITION OF THE "INSPIRE THEM YOUNG" PROGRAM

The “Inspire them young” program is based in the following three ambitions:

1. Inspiring young female talent to pursue a leadership track

Incentivizing young female talent to test and believe in their leadership potential, pursue leadership roles from early on, broaden their value chain experience, and to develop a plan on how to achieve a successful leadership career.

2. Inspiring organizations to create pipelines for future women leaders

Facilitating the sharing of ideas and best practices among organizations on how to better attract, retain, mentor, sponsor and engage female leadership talent from the start of their career.

3. Inspiring legislators to introduce balanced parental leave legislation

Influencing legislators to pass legislation that will ensure a more even split between the parental leave of the father and the mother.

THE "INSPIRE THEM YOUNG" GRANT

Every year the “Inspire them young” initiative rewards a promising young female Life Science leadership talent with a grant of DKK 10.000.

The grant is designed to attract and cultivate rising female leaders, the grant will support an academic scholar or young business talent with exceptional potential to lead, while inspiring other women to take on leadership roles.

Female leadership talent who seek to make a positive impact in the lives of others and the world are given priority.
